Bang & Bonsomer Group Oy acquired the entire share capital of Korves Oy in Finland
On 7 June 2023, Bang & Bonsomer Group Oy acquired the entire share capital of Korves Oy in Finland. Korves is a Finnish family-owned company founded in 1992, employing 18 individuals.
Korves’ core business revolves around the manufacturing, marketing, and sales of speciality chemicals for water treatment and energy production, as well as supplying associated accessories. Through decades of research, testing, and product development, Korves delivers high-value products and services to its customers.
The main applications for Korves’ products include district heating systems, steam systems such as thermal and power plants, and various industrial water process systems. The company aims to enhance customer energy efficiency and prevent and resolve water impurity-related issues through water samples, analyses, and the use of appropriately selected products.
Additionally, the company manufactures and distributes various industrial chemicals, heat transfer fluids, cleaning chemicals, property maintenance chemicals, as well as water treatment equipment such as water softeners and various water filters. Korves’ range of services also encompasses the commissioning of equipment and chemicals.
Bang & Bonsomer, headquartered in Finland, is a smart materials technology company that provides a wide range of industrial raw materials and additives to various industries and operates in 14 countries. The company is divided into five business divisions, each serving different industrial sectors. In 2022, Bang & Bonsomer achieved a turnover of €215 million and employed over 300 people.
This acquisition will strengthen Bang & Bonsomer’s position, particularly in process chemistry applications. Korves will become part of the Environment & Industry business division, which focuses on water treatment and process chemistry solutions.
Together, Bang & Bonsomer and Korves will offer customers an excellent range of industrial water treatment, energy production, and various other industrial process chemicals and services.
